New Hampshire Phonological and Imagery Network (NHPIN) will provide several programs during the 2008-2009 academic year. As in the past the cornerstone will be the traditional Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing (LiPS) program to which Precision Teaching training has been added to provide a fluency component.
• All levels of training will include work with students as part of the training. As in the past, participants will receive a letter stating the hours of training and a description of the objectives of training upon completion of the prescribed hours.

NHPIN: UPCOMING WORKSHOPS |
Reaching All Students in the Mathematics Classroom
A three-session workshop in the appropriate use of manipulatives and Singapore math methods is planned for May. Each session is three hours and will run from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, Tuesday, May 18, 2010 and Thursday, May 20, 2010.
Lisa Zack-Swasey, M.Ed. and Lois Bick A.S. have trained with Mahesh Sharma and have used his techniques successfully for ten years. They will address reasons why students have difficulty in mathematics and will demonstrate how the use of manipulatives allows all children to access mathematics curriculum. Hands-on practice will allow participants to use these methods in the classroom the day following the workshop.
